Clergy Through transition

The Church of the Good Shepherd is grateful to the many priests who are helping us through the coming weeks, and to the Office of Transition at DioPA for their assistance in connecting us to them. There is a wonderful network of clergy in our diocese and beyond, who have been quick to offer their assistance. The weeks ahead offer a valuable opportunity for us to build ties with nearby clergy and their parishes.

Sunday Masses

Fr. David Beresford has served as interim rector in churches across Pennsylvania and Delaware. Ordained in the Church of England, he has lived in the U.S. since 2015, and currently resides in Wilmington, DE.

Fr. Alistair So-Schoos has served parishes in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Washington, D.C., and is a data scientist for the Church Pension Group.

On Sunday, April 19, Fr. Christopher Schwenk will be our celebrant at Evensong and Benediction. Fr. Christopher is the priest in charge at the Church of the Holy Apostles in Wynnewood. We’re grateful that he will also serve at most of our weekday Masses for the next two months.

On Sunday, May 17, Mtr. Amy Crawford will be our celebrant at Evensong and Benediction. She is associate rector at St. Thomas Church, Whitemarsh.

Feast of the Ascension

On May 14 at 7 pm, Mtr. Meghan Mazur, rector of St. Timothy’s, Roxborough, will celebrate and preach for the Feast of the Ascension. She also presided at our Wednesday Mass on April 15.
