The Church of the Good Shepherd is pleased to announce its inaugural series, "Main Line Early Music". Good Shepherd is easily recognized as the green oasis along the bustling Lancaster Avenue surrounded by shopping centers and restaurants. Amid that oasis stands our beautiful Gothic revival church, a perfect venue for listening to chamber music. Our series has invited some of the region's finest early music ensembles, performing on period instruments, such as Kleine Kammermusik, La Bernardinia, Night Music, The Franklin Quartet, Affetti Musicalli, Filament, and the Sylvan Consort to create a wonderful series of chamber music ranging from viol consort music of the Renaissance and early Baroque through the music heard in the salons of London, Paris and Philadelphia during the Age of Enlightenment. Please join us, and spread the word to other music loving friends about this exciting new series right here in Bryn Mawr!
